수술을 마친 환자와의 대화
Doctor : I am going to take the tube out of your throat(당신의 목에서 튜브를 뺄 것입니다).
Patient : Cough! Cough!(콜록! 콜록!).
Doctor : Take a deep breath, in and out(숨을 크게 들이마시고 내쉬세요).
And cough in order to free your lungs of any fluid build up due to the general anesthesia(전신마취 때문에 당신의 폐에 생겼을지 모를 액체가 나오도록 기침을 하세요).
Patient : Cough! I feel dizzy(콜록! 어지럽네요).
Doctor : The anesthetic hasn't worn off yet. As time goes by, the effect will soon wear off(아직 마취가 덜 깨서 그럽니다. 시간이 지남에 따라 곧 증상이 없어질 것입니다).
Patient : I feel like vomiting(토할 것 같아요).
Doctor : Use this emesis basin(이 농반을 사용하세요).
Patient : It gets very stuffy(점점 더 답답하군요).
Doctor : Don't put off oxygen mask. Put on(산소 마스크를 벗지 마세요. 마스크를 쓰세요).
Patient : I am feeling drowsy(멍해지는 것 같아요).
Doctor : Take a deep breath again(숨을 다시 깊게 쉬세요).
Don't worry. Pain medicines can relieve pain but it make you drowsy(걱정마세요. 진통제가 통증을 줄여 주지만, 멍하게 만들 수가 있습니다).
It will get better with time(시간이 지남에 따라 좋아질 것입니다).
Patient : Did my surgery go well?(제 수술이 잘되었나요?).
Doctor : The surgery was fine. Operation was a success(수술이 잘 되었습니다. 성공했습니다).
